Harau Valley

For a history lesson, you can visit the Lobang Jepang (Japanese Caves) is a network of tunnels and underground bunkers that were built by the Japanese during the Second World War. Also on the scenic route to Bukittinggi to Padang, stop the mining tunnel the "Mbah Soero" in Sawahlunto where you can learn about the tunnels dug by the "chain of people and minors from 1898 to the late 1920s .
